I'm not sure it has been posted in this thread before, but anyway.

yeah, I'm liking the one in blue and also the grey. Nice summer staples, they are for sure. Tried on a TB button down in that exact same grey 2 or so summers ago but I never got around to making the purchase.

maybe the product itself isn't as WTF, but it is a clash of the most hyped streetwear label and one of the most overrated american designer. I can't think of any reasoning for such a collaboration except desperate hype-seeking.

          exactly.

the shirts looks fine imo, nothing special but definitely not WTF

the concept is just odd. i know that both supreme and thom browne have each their own hype factor, but to be honest, i would not assume that a typical thom browne costumer would want to be associated with Supreme.

yes, it is good for the Supreme wearer,

but i was talking about Thom Browne customers. i am assuming most are Barney's shopping and either 'fashionable' (at least they consider themselves) or more professional (? assumption here), so i would guess they would not want to be linked with skateboarding and supreme youth culture. these are all generalizations here, so feel free to critique me!

Why can't this shirt be targeted for people who just want a nice shirt

ok, here's my thinking on it. it looks to me less of a collaboration and more like it's just TB shirts being sold in supreme and on their online store. TB does this (in effect) with all the stores he sells to - the labels are are specific as to the stores thet ordered them. there's no other supreme branding on the shirts.
preppy shirts and streetwear go pretty well together, there's definately crossover appeal, so it's about persuading the supreme customer to buy the "best" preppy shirt you can buy, which I'd imagine they'd be more than willing to do. thom browne customers won't buy their shirts here, but a little bit of an association with a "young" or "cool" or "edgy" will do them no harm.

Deleuze would call it a Supreme becoming Thom Browne, and a Thom Browne becoming Supreme.

its a shame how this has overshadowed the tit scarf.

i'll be sure to wear my dick pants whenever the old lady has on the tit scarf btw

Where is Deleuze anyway? Or Fuuma? We need some postmodernist analysis on this baby.

heh I did a double take, i thought you were talking about SZ's deleuze as well at first. Haven't seen that guy in forever, he added a nice few drops of irreverence to an already highly stirred pot.
