One time I purchased something for around AU$1800 and after 10 months sold it for US$1900 shipped which was a small profit since AU$1 = US0.9x at the time. I left the USD funds in my paypal account and thats when the GFC hit and the AUD dropped like hell, after around a month I made like AU$800 extra from it
