I must side with interest1 on that one. Seemed really strange when I first saw them. Still feels strange today. They aren't seriously terrible in black, but still approaching WTF territory.

I really really really think they're straight up hideous, very WTF to me too...
I mean.. when I imagine them being worn, I just don't see the elegance in a pair of high heeled sneakers. at least I associate high heels with something more elegant/attitude'y than just.. sneakers
