Speaking of Prada Nylon - I've been reading through a few fashion-and-subculture related books in the library just recently and I must have seen 'the original nylon Prada backpack' or something referenced like six times. Can't find a damn thing about it aside from these off-hand references to it being the first piece of 90's 'functional clubwear' to be referenced by the major runways. Anyone know anything more about it?

The 90's was the time of logo mania, as well as minimalism in fashion(quite contradictory, no?). I do believe that it was Neil Barrett who started the whole Nylon bag and clothing craze when he was Designing at Prada. He was also head designer for the launch of their menswear line. So the in terms of the bag they where the perfect match, subtle, utilitarian, and the red strip logo ticked all the boxes for that time. As well as adequate space for all your E's, Weed and bottles of watermerz: your look has all the grace of george michael at the tail end of a coke binge.
