I have no experience dealing with the seller but I do know there are a lot of these of the chinese fake variety going around. Be cautious. I know the auction is winding down but if I was going to commit to it, I'd ask for shots of the label and inner embroidery to be safe.

It took me about 4 minutes to find this one and I've seen several other variations from China. Just take note.

while the collar is similar, the cut to my knowledge is actually not identical to a real fencing jacket, they usually have either a straight zipper (sometimes slanted but less curved), or buttons. the lapel shape is quite similar to a german panzer jacket (as some one pointed out once in the ccp thread).

I don't think anyone is saying Carol invented the actual fencing uniform, but the lapel shape and its use in a leather jacket is something I personally haven't seen before. this is perhaps why the jacket above could seem like it was inspired by it.
