One of my friends with little understanding of fashion linked me to the knight's hoodie and said, this looks like it would fit perfectly in your wardrobe...

i guess the only possible way for something as conceptually radical as cdg x star wars to end is crushingly disappointing.

Incarnation = CCP / 2 ?

That was discussed in the Incarnation thread. They're certainly similar, but then Poell didn't invent the bomber jacket and he wasn't the first to attach hook closures to it.
Rick Owens produces a jacket that's almost a reproduction of the MA2, but his choice of fabric and detailing makes it unique enough that none of us would seriously consider this a suitable substitute. Same here; I wouldn't buy one if I had actually wanted the other.

^ thanks for the info. I didn´t know about the discussion. Without having further knowledge of it and let alone Poell didn´t invent the hook closure, I would tend to say Incarnation was strongly "influenced" by Poell and not vice versa :)

"It was great to put bleach denim cargo trousers on the runway, I mean that's been a while since I saw those. It's good to see something that you don't usually see."
Why do I get the feeling that they know it sucks and that they are trying to defend it..
Also, mesh underpants.

I think it has to do with the conspicuous consumption we've talked about on here before re: Louis Vuitton, et al and the tendency for the wealthy to eschew style or quality for recognizable icons and logos.
Not to say that quality isn't good...I wouldn't really know...but I do know there are much better options and designers out there, at least for young consumers.
Think about who has the most disposable income right now: Older folks who need things like suits for public gatherings and business meetings. Many still see the Armani suit and the Versace suit as the pinnacle of style and taste. I guess if you sell enough of those you can afford to make the other garments in the line that get bought by 45 year old fans of Madonna.Originally posted by mizzarSorry for being kind of a dick to you.
