Well if you compare those two for example

Sneaker 1 looks great, beautiful leather, sleek design

Sneaker 2 looks like its {inappropriate} brother, dipped in vomit and feces and fitted with the wrong laces

Those are pretty heavily distressed, I don't recall seeing such a treatment in the full collection, so I guess these are some sort of a "special". Plus the pictures are just terrible.

wtfception, ugliest sneakers ever? Bit exaggeration don't you think? The shoe doesn't even look that different, just the same freaking shoe with longer shaft and different treatment/coloring. Personally like them more than what you compared them to anyway..

No exaggeration at all. On the contrary the shoes couldnt be any more different, the only similarities being the colour and the sole. But it all comes down to personal preferences as you mentioned

those sneakers are among some of my favorite. the all black version is one of my favorite non boots that have been. wait until fw13 when that baby shit yellow color comes out!
