I quite like them too...but would also have a head time dropping 2k on them. I'll wait for the $2-3 sale, or bedazzling treatment.

The shoes are great but A1923 pricing is continuing upwards into the unknown.
If someone posted about Rick Dunks the reaction would be the same in terms of pricing.
These are they types of people who fuel the fast food fashion trends. they also think wearing New Balance sneakers they bought for $40 fashionable which I completely disagree with.......

I honestly like a1923 boots a lot but sneakers whether CCP, a1923, bbs, RO are never worth that much imo.
but yea, a1923 is raising benchmarks in pricing right now which is not good. i am happy to pay for a good pair of boots but when you release a line and its around 2k it makes me question things no matter how cool the treatments are.

I think y'all need to consider some words of wisdom from Tim Gunn concerning those 2k sneakers:
“I have this refrain about the monkey house at the zoo. When you first enter into the monkey house at the zoo, you think, ‘Oh my god this place stinks!’ And then after you’re there for 20 minutes you think, ‘it’s not so bad’ and after you’re there for an hour it doesn’t smell at all. And anyone entering the monkey house freshly thinks, ‘this stinks!’ You’ve been living in the monkey house.”

Is buying something that is made to look like it has been through countless years of wear unreasonable? I'm all for treating leather to give it a new texture and look, but 'ultra' distressed? This is very prevalent in jeans as well. For me, personally, it slightly defeats what I'd like to get out of my clothes. Especially when the piece is full retail price.street goth extraordinaire

Depends on what you mean by "ultra distressed," but yeah, it can simply border on trashy, like D&G jeans. There is always a fine line, so if you go for Giorgio Brato leather jackets and L.G.B. jeans, you will look like goth eurotrash.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
