i don't want to write this as a response in JJ's classifieds thread, but damn.. those Pugh shrimptoe platform wedge ..things? nevermind girlfriends, i wouldn't wish those upon women i scorn with contempt.
whatever happened to, like, you know, interesting womens shoe designs? and i mean interesting, not a permutation of wedge sandal, ballet flat or some failure cascade consisting of a tenuous sole with a bunch of flimsy straps attached.
That's a bit harsh Merz. I didn't like them at first (at all, actually) but frequent conversations with someone who wants them have caused them to grow on me. I can see your strong opinion, though. Women's shoes right now seem to capture devotees with shock value first, and substance second.
