So is this fake or real TheSoloist work? I'm asking only because the guy has collab'd/used fabric and pieces from other US based garment companies and this wouldn't honestly be a huge stretch.www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs

Bought secondhand so I don't have conclusive proof but I wouldn't be surprised if it were real.
1. The tags changed from paper to plastic around 2013 I believe, and the tag was indistinguishable from that found on stock at IF NY.
2. Retail on the new tees (~7k jpy) is less than half than that of the old tees, which are cut-and-sew, and I'd imagine this reflects lower production costs rather than the goodness of Takahiro's heart, especially given that the price on everything else is going up.
3. The patchwork jeans are made of vintage Levi's, and the Texas shirts are Champion. Like A said, not a stretch.
4. The Soloist care tag is stitched directly onto the American Apparel tag. If the fakers missed that they literally have to be the most braindead crooks in the history of fakes (which I suppose makes me all the more braindead for being had )
EDIT: looks like t-shirts have been American Apparel since 2012 at least...

2 weeks later, i get a personal call from the manager of the branch I complained about (calling that branch last time led to no manager, just the basic, "sorry we don't have it")
i guess sending in an online complaint to the general e-mail / head office made shit roll down hill
she apologized for losing it, but "found" an electronic version of the form *-_- and approved the refund today and i will get it in 4-6 weeks
(why ask us to give you the originals at all if you have a copy in the first place?!)
