Content <> not discussion though. Content is still one-way, speaking to the audience, usually telling them what to buy. Hype beast is content.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

I am convinced that millennials simply don't talk, because no one taught them how to. I am only half-joking.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

After 4 years in advertising my millennial ass wants to commit mass murder or self-immolation any time I hear "content," though the selection changes depending on whom I'm talking to. In low guttural grunts and gesticulations according to Eugene
The situation with respect to film is quite a bit more dire -- so many talented young directors and producers I know doing native ads for low-tier liquor brands.

Oh god yes to both, the death drive is strong among those who would find a virtualized life satisfying. The majority of us are heading to some sort of hikikomori state.
Though I would venture that perhaps intimacy is in decline because representations of it like pornography are so available -- people aren't as motivated to navigate the complexities of the real thing when the facsimile is so available. Perhaps the incomprehensible variety of material also makes a difference, i.e. once you've habituated to whacking it to transsexual snapping turtles a nice French girl doesn't seem as accessible.
I do imagine this is the very very frontier of man's next great conflict. Where once we went to war over our respective sky ghosts or lack thereof, the next schism will be between augmented technocrats and "luddite" humanists who pine for the golden age of 2005 when a user wasn't reduced to a husk after using a computer.

Would be kind of a badass war - unless we all end up unleashing a virus and live a Walking Dead scenario. God, I can't get enough of that show...
I mean, I do think the kids are alright - every old man grumbles about the new generation. It's hard to know whether your personal impressions can be extrapolated to an entire generation - probably better off not generalizing like that. :-)Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Well, that's just a perfect example of the difference between a true visionary and a hack, isn't it?Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
