right, lowrey, i've seen several of these blatant ripoffs from KK, without finding a reasonable account for it. So it has raised the following dilemma to me: usually, ripoffs are bad but cheap copies of the original, cf Blackscissors leathers that cost 1/10 of the RO jacket they imitate. On an other level, there are designers that don't seem to have trust in their own ideas, and prefer to take 'inspiration' from the work of others (some beloved SZ designers fall into this category i'm afraid, a well-known 'handmade' shoemaker of course, but others as well). But Kumagai has his own designs, it seems... (i don't really know his work to be honest) so WTF ?
and, last but not least: what if a ripoff was better than the original? Imagine that the attachment version of the Intarsia jacket was made of a far better leather than the RO version, with a better cut, better stitchings, and so on...? which one would be the best to get?pix

We are also always assuming that most shoppers are as educated about the brands and collections as most on here are , which is not the case. If I found at a store ,2 similar looking styles from different designers I would try both and end up with the one that works for my body type.
As for the ones that do know the difference its pretty obvious which way to go ... Chicken no egg????
