Great. Exactly why I did not want to mention the brand's name. Now you unscrupulous assholes go have a field day. Not that I give a shit about Harnden, but this is pathetic.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

I just got over it - it's narrow and therefore quickly got boring. What more food for thought can Harnden's work give after a couple of years?
The money-grab ain't helping - there used to be a certain honesty in decent pricing for Harnden (imitation lower class clothing, after all), now it's just another designer cashing in. I know it's not him but his wife - but still.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Faust, I agree with you on the money grabbing part. As a consumer I feel like I'm being taken advantage of for my passion. If there is no return in better materials, design, construction, even more so.
If you're bored, you're bored. But as to being narrow, I enjoy a designer who can keep adding something interesting season after season within their realm. (I still regret not purchasing one of his bird print shirts from a season or so ago.) I would distinguish between a designer whom one considers for purchases season after season and one whom I look forward to more for intellectual pursuits and stimulation than acquisition.
Both aspects would be great, but they don't always intersect in my world.

I am with you two - I like plenty of designers whose close I don't wear but for other things, whether McQueen for unbounded creativity or Maier at Bottega for the sheer quality and workmanship.
But I don't see what's left to admire about Harnden. Changing a print on the same shirt, or changing a number of vents on a jacket, or using a different fabric on the same one is not the thing that keeps me excited. At this point it's more schtick than design.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
