It was the soft buttery LS lamb leather, in a perfect weight, with it's smooth refined natural texture that attracted me when I saw it in Tokyo. Thinking it would be the same, and at a much more competitive price, I ordered from Luisa, only to receive what I would consider a vastly inferior and "ugly" piece, no fault of the retailer of course, just my bad luck.
Are you 100% sure the one you want isn't oiled calf? which is smooth and 'buttery soft'.....and also more expensive. Both versions out this season.
I never seen 2 of the same jacket(same leather/code) from RO being offered at different prices because of the grade of leather either.

It's RU6761/LS. I checked with them before placing the order, I checked when it was delivered, and just before returning it, yes, I checked it again...it is the LS lamb.
I've handled both the oiled calf and the LS lamb, both current season...it was the LS lamb I wanted, positive.
It wasn't me who suggested that any differences in pricing were due to the grade of the leather (same leather code). I never believed this to be the case, and still do not.
Btw, premierminister, the leather from Apartment than you claimed to be the LS lamb costing €1950, is actually the Oiled Calf. That explains its higher price.

I enquired about the jacket before they had pictures of it, they said 'we are currently unable to provide you with photos of this jacket in Black. It is lambskin intarsia, stone wash treatment, not waxed.' so I assumed it was the hammered one.

'thank you very much for getting in contact with us. concerning the RICK OWENS, INTARSIA LEATHER JACKET, i have to tell you that we only carried the non oiled calf leather version, and it is almost sold out, remaining only on in size small.'Last edited by miserableman; 11-09-2010, 12:13 PM.

I hope the oiled calf is not the same "quality" as it was last year. I bought a GeoJkt in oiled calf and was VERY disappointed. The leather looked like synthetic.
