faust: they do, and i was quite happy to find a store that had a pair in my size on 50% sale, cause these boots sold out pretty much instantly everywhere. i mean, 400$ is not really a lot of money for a pair of decent field boots that will last for years with some reinforcements.
i also got myself a couple of ann/silent basics:

got to keep myself in business, yes. was looking for a small car and the golf's ride and performance is just leaps and bounds above any other competitor in small hatchbacks. being great in safety doesn't hurt either since all the big trucks/SUV's around here drive like idiots as if gas was still a $1.50/gal and they won't hesitate to kill me in a small car. definitely nice to have a fuel efficient engine that can easily last for 200-300k miles if maintained as it's great for the resale value though. it was either this or the hyundai elantra, which probably would have been better cuz i could have bought a whole new wardrobe with the price difference.
i'll stop digressing the thread here though.Comment

I think Hope is a pretty good swedish mid-range label, the designs are refined and simplistic. its not label under construction, but the fabrics are decent and tend to fit well with the styles. nothing mind blowing but most of the clothes has an "autenthic" feel. i think you might like some of it, zamb :)Comment

I have a pair of HOPE boots, they're absolutely beautiful but the construction is very bad. The sole is glued and is coming off and I must say I haven't worn them too much at all. They also have a very nice strap/buckle-detail but it fucks up when you actually walk (hard to explain). At about $700 they weren't that cheap, so you'd expect them to hold up a bit better. That being said, the boots are beautiful.Comment
