Mainly because I like it, but don't love it and at this time I'd rather spend money on things I love. It looks kinda cool worn open but it doesn't look as cool closed imo
It's cut slightly shorter in the body compared to my other ricks which I wish rick would do more but the chest and upper arms seem to be bulk out on this style, as if it were meant for someone with muscles bigger than mine.
The leather to me is hit and miss(it is boxer calf btw). Looking at it, and from the pic above, it looks great. To feel, the leather albeit pretty thick, feels very dry, could well benefit from oiling but it seemed to me like it would scratch very easily the top surface of the leather(see this pic of a scratch that already was on the inside http://i55.tinypic.com/vj5fs.jpg to see what I mean)
Maybe the leather would wear well in some aspects and not others, I wasn't too sure but that added with not totally digging the design, some fit imperfections and the fact I have another leather I prefer which isn't a million miles away in terms of style, I decided against it. Seems like they've tweaked the shoulder design already for this season. If I could tweak the design, I ditch chest zipper, thin the arms out and change the collar to make it less angular then it would be perfect.
Just my opinion really, don't want to put anyone else off buying it because it's an really awesome jacket. Just not for me right now.
One part of me thought that the jacket would benefit from the leather really getting worn bad though, to contrast against the somewhat structured design. Arms and elbows were creasing nice just from trying on just a couple times so were some good signs.
I think if it had fit me a little better in certain areas, I would have kept it. I have lost a lot of weight recently as well so I might not be the best person to comment on fit at the moment.
