I just wear mine over a sweater or a coat. its peculiar, but very cool imo. I don't use it as a bag though.

I'm thinking layer-0 makes the best shoes nowadays... reverse cordovan derbies fit beautifully and have this amazing texture and shape.

won't beat a dead horse but I think layer-0's stuff is really a continuation of carpe diem and i think the quality is indeed up to snuff...

the cordovan is rather stiff... as cordovan is? I own the canvas over leathers and those are not uncomfortable at all.

the shoe last and shape is comfy on the derbies, a bit of rubbing against the side of my foot but that should go away..

I find that at least recently they're just as refined and experiment with some pretty cool stuff (if not outrageous)

yes, sitff. but after a few weeks it is more comfortable (same as A1923, imo).

I think it depends on the model really. The 1.6 model with the crackled reverse horse leather isn't so stiff, but the rubber-band derbies made from smooth horse leather are definitely stiff and will take a bit of wear to soften-up - mind you, they also mold to your foot in this process and end up being one of the best fitting shoes out there [imho].
