Very surprising. I thought we were similar sizes.
I wear a sz48 in this (ror fabric) and it is quite relaxed I the body/torso. Shoulders also are perfect but far from tight.
You must have tried on an odd one.
I really can't believe you wouldn't fit into my sz48, and definitely a sz50.

I'm a 50-52 in ccp (after gaining a few lbs more often the latter ). shoulders/back/arms are the problem for me, same for this jacket where I felt the 50 fit like a 48 in the shoulder area and I couldn't move at all.

Most people will tell you to size up, but I went with my true size and it's good. It definitely depends on your build, though.
