^How is asphalt? I found out this weekend that the MeL stockist in Montreal is no longer carrying the line. It was a sad day....

I love it, but I think it's an acquired taste. It's strong out of the can, but once you let it breathe it mellows out.

What type of treatment on the lower half of the sleeves? Looks more textured than the rest of the coat...

Thanks. I think I am going to add a velcro strip in the mid section just to have it sit tight like that, not sure yet. Need to consult Mr. Barrett.
The sleeves on top are padded cotton/nylon, go into lamb leather and calf leather, the bottom is cashmere fleece. The body is very thick virgin wool. There is a cashmere fleece version (body), but I like this one better. It's a really well-tailored and well-constructed piece. My only wish is for a full lining, but I suppose it would've been harder to make the removable belt loops.

Heh, I wear it less often than most other tops, it just always gets photographed so it looks like I'm wearing it everyday.
