I never contemplated m_morias earlier either, and for the exact same reason.

I then found that my otherwise rather distressed look would benefit and even deepen contrasted with a pair of well constructed and shiny horween shell cordovan work boots. Of course with the more bulbous and aggressive A last.

I probably wouldn't wear them to a suit. But with stacked pants, a frayed shirt or a wrinkled coat they really come into their own.

^ The beauty of m_moria's shoes (I suppose this could extend to the likes of the CD diaspora) are how devoid of time they are. They're highly imprintable - they're not restricted to any certain styling. Plus, that leather... that is the stuff of beauty.

Indeed, I plan to wear the fuck out of them, this is what shell is for. The deer bone and slight brushing, nothing more. I was against vibram at first but one of zamb's posts made me getting them to the cobbler: better safe than sorry.
And as a person fairly new to artisan fashion (registration date speaks for itself) and size 45 I was unable to find any Cdiems until recently which I consider really lucky.

I have that same Alden boot and it looks even better with some wear. I've had mine about 6 months and wear them a couple times a week. When I'm able I'll post a pic.

Just picked up this little guy, maybe a "granola" Rick purchase but the way it drapes and the interesting construction on the side vents made me like the way it moves. Looked dark brown on most sites, very happy its pitch black.

That coat is one of my favorite piece from FW15. Coats and clothes don't always need dangley doos to be interesting, sometimes an unexpected length and silhouette on an otherwise expected piece is exciting enough. I like how this particular piece feels coherent with Rick's consistent showing of dress like tunics, kilted pants and other androgyny, though in a subtler fashion; the contradiction it creates.
