also tried on the luc pants that jun bought and they're awesome (although the gf didn't like them that much). super heavy weight cotton, and they're supposed to age/distress like raw denim. maybe when it gets a lot colder...

I bought a pair of Rag & Bone jeans yesterday. The fit is impeccable - perfect straight leg cut, unlike most of their baggier offerings. The denim feels good, too. I also love their buttons (the waistband has what look like buttons for suspenders, but on the outside).

i'm assuming you got the RB11 selvedge jeans? i had a pair before i sold them off, the quality was outstanding. the buttons and rivets were made out of really good material, and the rivets had the leaf branded on them, which is very cool.

I don't think they are selvege (at least there was no red trim at the seams... and that's where my selvedge denim knowledge ends [75]). I'll take a look at the model number - I got them from a consignment store, but they are brand new with all the tags attached.

That's funny, I bought some Rag & Bone pants for the first time the other week too, and just got them back from alteration. The cut was great on, and it had a self-material skinny belt included, plus the aforementioned buttons. The quality is not bad at all, and Barneys threw in the hemming because I bought them full price. Nothing that would look amazing on the runway but an easy, versatile piece for daily outfit-building.

Also got:

- BillyKirk skinny black belt from Camouflage. Don't know this new brand well but I was looking for a nice basic black leather in a narrow size with a narrow buckle, and they had a raw-ish texture that would work well even with edgier stuff, although I didn't like the logo debossed on it. But at $125, I figure it's a casual outfit purchase.

- Levis skinny 510 jeans in deep, rich red.

- Margiela tee with draped neckline and pocket

- Alexander mcQueen sheer black turtleneck with 50 inch neck and 40" arms - lots of wrinkling. Very Julius and RO, actually.

- Julius draped neck knit wool angora sweater

- 4 beautiful prints from Philip Gatward. Really trying to collect more art that will hopefully last longer than the clothes I tend to buy

- beautiful quirky vintage leather arm chair from Norway

The McQueen turtleneck sounds cool [<:o)] , and so is the arm chair.
