They say the Panasonic Lumix FX and the Leica C-LUX are identical twins seperated only by their nameplates. So basically I got the Leica because it's Leica. Although it's $200 more, I wanted the red logo on my camera. I haven't dealt with compact digital cameras that much... not even DSLRs.. I'm more of an old school SLR guy and cell phone cam so I'm not sure about the camera's quality compared to others. You should check it out yourself! Might have to go to Adorama instead of B&H(no samples available when I went recently)...
I bought my girlfriend the c-lux, I have to say that I was very impressed. I've only used a dslr for the past few years, but the leica is very good for a point and shoot. the image stabilization works well, its pretty good in low light conditions which is one of the main problems with digicams.
on a side note, got this ma+ jacket today:
will post a better pic sometime later since I'll probably wear it anyway :)

I like it,really coolconstruction and fit. the fabric is slightly stretchy butquite thick, kind of like aheavy sweater fabric. it should be a pretty good fall and spring jacket considering I wore it today and its only 4C or something here :)
it came in one of those canvas bags which was cool

Mike, looks much better on you. I'm not sold yet, fabric looks old-mannish in the wrong wayimho, but the fit looks right. You have a good shape for LUC too, lucky guy.
the fabric looks quite different in person, it sort of sweat-type Cottonbut thicker and kind of more solid.
not sure what you mean with luc shape though [79]

I meant that the WAYWT you posted with LUC made it look like the garments fit you very well.
I find some of thick continue & al. jackets/butoning sweaters of whatever to be sort of boring so I guess it is personal taste. I like theheavier linea knit Jude Law (and Faust) have though, looks very earthy.
ah yea well I only have that one knit but the fit onthat oneis pretty nice. my probwith LUC isthat I dont fit into the 46-48 thats usually available.
