i started to understand and buy into the RO "look", a look that i resisted for a year, but subtle erosion, such as going to the RO party at the bowery hotel and witnessing an entire party wearing Rick, and the love he entraps, and the love the followers exude, and this started to degrade my ignorance and snobbery, and then eventually, I felt the shoes were a necessary component to the look. so i got them. and they're amazing. and maybe in a year i won't give a shit about them. but this summer i will wear the shit out of them. and that's enough for now.

Thanks, the Aero is nice too; but, I really need the date function as I probably write the date 10-15x a day and never remember what day it is. The thing I like about the Type XX's is that they look equally as good on a brace as a strap. So ina few years when I get tired of this look I can put it on a strap to refresh it.

I'd also argue that there's a radical difference in how the RO trainers look and wear that's contingent on the color and material. The black ones are by far the most demure and even more understated in suede than in leather. Moreover, not enough can be said about that zipper, which makes the shoe more of a hybrid boot than anything else. These things will grow on all of you...

Agree completely. I usually do not care for shoes of this type myself. But I really think the all black ones are quite nice. Hybrid boot is great. I dont particularly care for the others with all of the white, its a bit much for my taste.
