Big, I like big. Any bigger and it'd be too big for daily.

I've been looking for a pair of classic black cap-toes. Yesterday, I went to Leffot in NYC and bought a pair of G&G black oxfords, very classic.







The way they bevel the waist of the shoes is pretty amazing. It makes the shoes look sleeker without making them look less substantial.:







The shoe-trees that came with the shoes are beautiful, too. I think the shoes' construction is better than Corthay's.

Leffot is tremendous. The service was terrific. The guy who helped me was the owner. He measured both of my feet, and made me try on a few different sizes to make sure I had the right fit. He clearly knew his product - the experience was completely different from buying shoes from Barneys' or BG's shoe department (where they inevitably answer any concerns about sizing with "nah, that's how they're supposed to fit"). We discussed G&G's quality vs Edward Green, Corthay, talked about G&G's made to measure program.



Their profit margin is also reasonable - for example, the Corthays at Leffot are about $200 less than they are at BG.
