Ah ok, I still haven't gotten on the proxy bandwagon. I signed up with From Japan and was all ready to buy the Julius waxed wool coat but they don't take AmEx .

I ended up buying this coat from bc3 instead:

it's similar, some slight differences I mentioned. one thing that makes the fit quite different compared to the gordini is the leather of the collar. the gordini has quite wrinkled leather around the collar that throws off the fit a bit when worn open IMO, while the aw08 high collar looks considerably sharper.

the sizing is similar, slightly tighter than the gordini from my measurements.

Oh man...your post has put me in a conundrum! I have the Gordini leather which i love, and now this AW08 High Collar looks so gorgeous too!!

I assume you're a size 1? I'm surprised the flagstore still had the Black in size 1 as recent as last week.

sorry didn't catch it but is the high collar gordini guidi leather or is it double headed calf or three legged lamb and are you a size 4 because i'm hoping i'm not too big for the japanese market. i like how they fuzzy out parts of the porn in japan, too. sometimes stiff leather turns me off. oh, and fit pic please.

just stick with the Gordini if you're happy with it man, not worth dropping that much cash on another leather jacket with a similar design.

I like the collar detail, that it runs a bit smaller on one side, there are also some nice seam details on the back.
