indeed, it was a really great job and I was lucky to find it. truly a book fetishists dream, and I picked up a great skill set too (because of my painting ability/experience, by the time I graduated I'd become the departments leather repairs specialist).

        this.

if you have even a passing interest in une semaine de bonte, or ernst's work in general, it is essential

Wall-E is probably one of the most adorable movies ever. You should put that on -your- xmas list!

I was also able to spend a good deal time with an early, serialized printing of une semaine de bonte.

I believe I am in serious envy of you right now... So tell me, how does one get a job in book preservation services? I now plan to follow in your footsteps except abuse the privileges one step further and obtain Justine book for my personal library! muhahaha... or at least get 500+dpi scans of every page.

not sure it's a possibility in every college, but where I went, you just went down to the basement of the library (where the workshop/office was) and asked. they accepted new applicants at the beginning of each year and had a kind of dexterity test for the application involving cutting straight lines, drawing straight lines, folding, tearing, etc.

unfortunately, because of how the loan system was set-up, if the copy of justine went missing, or even left library premises, it would immediately be tracked back to me. believe me, I thought very seriously about how to pull off the heist, but came up with nothing. I did however nab a few old occult and parapsychology books from special collections at the science library. their security was nonexistent.

Normally I hate waistcoats but for some reason this one looked perfect. Ann D, seller says F/W 06. Cotton/metal blend. Now to pray to the tiny gods that it actually fits.
