I'm not trying to agitate anyone, I'm just openly asking a few questions about it. I really like the original versions I saw. I'm just wondering how close these are to those earlier versions. The leather looks a little bit different and the cut looks a little different as well.
Never seen it IRL or touched it so these are visual observations from photos.
I know that what you start out with in leather jackets is usually much different than what you end up with so the fact that they're new probably has a lot to do with how they photograph.
No agitation bear - points are valid. The shoulder isnt perfect on the jacket but the image posted of mitch above is not the best example ( He has huge traps from body building) So his case is probably the worst in the shoulder. But i agree the shoulder could be improved, as i know richard personally he is all about improving every aspect of his label. My jacket fits me perfect everywhere apart from body length, but this is not a fault of the jacket rather my height. I guess i have quite broad shoulders so it eliminates the above problem.
The cut through the chest has been altered to fit better then the first samples but apart from that the fit is pretty much exactly the same. The leather is a washed cow and is really nice. Come to Paris in January and you can try mine on.

not to re-agitate, but those traps are not very huge and it simply looks like a badly aligned seam. i'm with beardown. larger traps wuld pull the seam up further, it wouldn't sag like that. i have wide, thick traps and shoulders and when something doesn't fit, it's because the seam is too high.

you cant see my traps under a leather jacket, and to be honest im not going to argue about how "huge" and "thick" a certain part of my back/shoulder is.
I think every single Obscur jacket suffers the same thing.
Everyone has a different build, and I think it will work for some but not for others. The shoulder bunching does look off in the photograph of Mitch, as mentioned. I found the obscur leather shirt/jacket to fit me spot on, but this may be due to the fact that I have very broad shoulders (which would push out any bunching in the shoulder area).
You can see how the shoulder wings upward on theaddict.
Here it panels out in the back on Mitch:
I haven't noticed any of this when I wear mine.
I am very impressed with Richard's cuts thus far.. The shirt feels like it was custom made for me.
There are always some people who fill out a given garment better than others which is necessary to take into consideration. Does seem like the shoulders / cut of the armholes may be off or just odd, but I've tried on a couple obscur leathers and both had the effect somewhat. Seems like the pieces aren't always that consistent in terms of cut, zipper angles, etc. which will always mean there could be one leather that fits you great while another leather of the same design could be totally off.
