                Guilty as charged.

I also got the charcoal and brown striped alpaca knit. So amazingly thin and delicate.

Luisa via Roma. It was in the women's section, but the label was marked mens. I did notice in NYC that some of the women's knits now are marked S, M, L, which never used to be the case.

Yeah, sometimes I fear that I am going to end up being a really well dressed homeless person.

                          thats a beautiful knit.

S-M-L in the women ann d sizing? I thought her womens usually are in numbers? and men would be the former? thats new to me.

Yeah, her women's sizing has always been numbers. However at Barneys in the women's department they had several knits marked XS, S, M, L. Maybe they were men's pieces that they thought would sell better to women, but I think they were true women's pieces.

                            Anyone know?

                              ^

No, Barneys never mixes their men's collections with their women's. Historically, Ann women's has been sized numerically, though there are a few exceptions with knits, namely pieces like tanks.

It makes more sense to size knitwear as XS–XL, imo. I've never seen the necessity of a size 36 Ann cardigan versus a 38. XS and S would suffice, not to mention simplify things. As opposed to wovens, knits allow more leeway with fit. It may be a new direction in sizing for her, which would be a welcome change.
