Pieces from that era have few equals in construction, patternwork, complexity.

Congrats man! Absolutely a masterpiece from Hedi / Dior Homme.
Pity..I sold mine the exact same one but in sz46 back in 2006.

The one I bought was indeed a 48... not sure how it'll fit but it's worth a try.

E, I know... DH brings worlds together! Who knew that years down the road it would lead to a continued friendship on such an amazing forum. Never would have imagined it, but now I can't imagine how things would be without it

I would say it fits a little bit large as a normal DH 48 jkt nowadays. Don't know why, but guess Albert you can wear it perfectly if you are a slim 50 or big 48. do let us know how the fitting.

Received it a couple of days ago and it fits snug but I can certainly zip it up. The construction is absolutely amazing to say the least and the leather used is far from the cheap junk used after 2005. Very pleased :) It's cut more severely at the waist than the various other DH leathers I've owned over the years. It sits up above my hip because it's so snug. I sort of recall that hedi liked to cut his jackets so that when zipped they sat high and exposed the belt/waistband some.

The details are innumerable on the jacket but are still subtle because it's black-on-black. Takes some close inspection to really see the insanity.

funny that I had to scour and get something inherently produced in the US, constructed in Italy, originally sold to someone in Japan to be ordered and shipped back to the US :)
