I'd leave fake distressing to the good folks at Ed Hardy.

I couldn't believe it when Ann offered those. It just seemed like such a shame and so against what I would imagine her outlook on clothing to be....and it just made an amazing pair of boots look like they came from China.

Half of the fun with clothing is breaking them in and wearing them in yourself so they bear the scars and flaws that you create.

I get breaking down the fabric via enzymes and treatments and processing leather to make it soft but taking the dremel tool or sandpaper to make something look like it's been used when it hasn't is questionable.

Aesthetically and morally.
