sorry but I don't get where is the relation between all saints and ovate.
Ovate is great, the designer seems to be a lovely person, the aesthetic is black metal among other influences. Not to mention the great quality. On the other hand all saints is crap in every aspect.

Regarding voidthebrand I have handled t-shirts from all their iterations. All of them are nice, at first they used cotton, then they transitioned to modal. Modal gives this silk like effect that is mentioned above.
Bear in mind that their model is 180 cm tall, only 58 kg and wears M so that explains the awkwardness of the fits. I always size down and the tees are fine on me. You should try the same.

Any tees that are cut like a slimmer VTB (maybe a wider neckline) but in an opaque fabric?

Does Devoa ever release white tees? I love their (quite exp) tees, but have only ever found black and grey ones.

VTB are alright, they do (did) some awkward cuts (not just size wise), but generally they're good for the price. Still, they're on the expensive side of things if you're just looking for plain basics and don't live in the US. Yes, $68 is still rather expensive for basics.

Guy who runs it seems like a nice bloke though, so props for that.

I've got my first Gareth Pugh tee today and I am really impressed by the quality. 100% modal and Olmar and Mirta factory (same as Rick one) makes it light and perfect for hot weather or layering.
Since there are a couple of them left at spence for cheap (and I mean it), I recommend to give it a try.

Yeah, there's at least one model/fabric every S/S. They're quite modest compared to pricing on other brands basics.

wings and horns makes quality tees in canada. usually with a small shoulder dart for subtle fit. mine don't lose form or pop stitching like AA tees.

anyways, my bbs tees are by far my favorites

I must say though, I would be very careful with 100% linen. It usually stretches and becomes misshapen or wrinkles. I would suggest a mix of linen/cotton or other material.

Seconded. I have a linen shirt with a seam down the front that's now curving toward one side.
