I haven't bought from either but moonfox and mooncat both have perfect feedback, 5 replies, 40 replies respectively.

Impression is they are selling backstock and factory rejects with minor faults.

You're going to want to ask for a picture of the tag & reference code that's in focus.

Can we take collective action on these guys?

                    1. Go to an item they are selling.
                    2. Click "Report Item"
                    3. "copyright and trademark"
                    4. "counterfeit item or authenticity"
                    5. "counterfeit, fake, or replica"
                    6. Send report.

It's going to be tough for sellers who have 100% positive feedback and top star reviews. I know it's fake...we know it's fake. But it's an issue of Ebay policies. Sellers are Ebay's cash cow. They're not going to delete items or reprimand users with great feedback. Truth be told, Ebay doesn't care if you're selling a fake item. They care if you're selling a fake item if you get caught because it creates issue with paypal transactions, disputes, etc.

How hard would it be for Rick's people to shut this guy down? Not hard at all. Which tells me he either doesn't care or the issue isn't big enough for him to be concerned with. As a designer, I'd be angry just because if the first piece of clothing someone buys ends up being a fake that they believe to be real and the quality is crappy, they may avoid your line in the future.

Surely he knows about these outfits. And surely he has legal connections it would take to do a cease and desist or to find out where this stuff is coming from. I guess my point is that if Rick doesn't care, why should we? The buyers seem very happy. Maybe some have decided that it's OK to have fakes if the price is right. That's generally the way it works with that market: People are willing to get cheap knockoffs if it's cheap enough.

It hurts the designer in my opinion..that's why it would be nice to see some of Rick's people shut it down.

                              Great post beardown.

Simply on a personal level I think that it's very stupid for designers not to seek out and destroy these people. It's somebody else getting a free ride on the work, company, and world that you created. Somebody else impersonating you, what you represent, in a very cheap way and earning fast cash out of it. Yes sure, maybe Rick is loaded enough that he doesn't care - but surely there's ethical value in getting rid of these people?

In the weird and messed up case that designers are finding this imitation a good way of getting their brand out there at a cheaper price, why not do it yourself and earn the money from a diffusion brand. See by Chloe. Silent by Damir Doma. Etc.

Personally I think its a huge mistake for designers not to shut these people down. It destroys a brand's integrity when you see cheap quality imitations - it's simply the wrong representation. Yes, they're imitations and aren't really representative of the label, but the people who wear the stuff are. I'd hate to have a person go around telling everybody how shit quality and over-priced Ann's stuff is (be it true or not), after purchasing a (unknown) fake.

Just hate having other people tarnish something beautiful that somebody else worked hard to create. Will it actually affect my view on the label and whether I buy from them? No. But there's certainly something sour about this situation. Ultimately I suppose you're right beardown; if the designer doesn't care, who am I to care on their behalf?

these guys are small time and aren't something one should get bent out of shape about. Just enjoy rocking the real thing hard. I will say its annoying browsing for nice stuff, and having to sift through this crap so I reported anyways, lol.
