It was hilarious IMO, the way he said that while he was wearing old Gant sweater and bootcut Levi's. I really don't give a fuck about his opinions and this isn't the first time he points out something like that. To be honest, that might be the way most people here in hillbillyland think about clothes that aren't mall tier brands or sportswear.

your dad wasnt jealous or insecure in his response. he is just narrow minded and doesnt know any better. i like obscur leathers a lot. that seems like a relatively tame obscur piece as well so imagine if you wouldve pushed it even farther! when things appear from the fringes, outside of ones comfort zone, they feel confused and ultimately threatened so they feel like they need to dismiss it under a preexisting label that is bound to their zone. gay being what he chose to hide behind. dont judge your dad too hard, he just doesnt know any better.
