Sizing help

I purchased a pair of the 8 oz. Detroits last month. I generally wear a 30, so I ordered a 30, and it fit TTS right out of the package. The inseam is slightly longer than 'normal' jeans (however, this could just be the standard), so even if they're tight, they have mild stacking as opposed to simply gripping your leg throughout. Not sure about the other cuts, but I can at least say the Detroit seems fine.

Usually I side down with drksshdw sweats, but because I prefer them fitted.

Is it true that current Guidi sizing is TTS rather than the tradition of sizing up? I'm looking at a pair of the 992 derbies.

I had always to size up, but I don't know sincerely if the stock was from last collection.

I've also sent a email to the store but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience personally with the current 992.

I have 2 pairs of guidi, one sized 42 and one sized 41 and they both fit about the same so I guess it's always a bit of a crapshoot.

In my experience, different leathers have different sizing. Like my baby calf 991's are a 44.5 but fit a 43 and my stag 788z's are a 46 and fit a 43.5. It's completely all over the place. I have no idea if that was helpful but I wanted to get it out there. Haha

It's certainly helpful in confirming that's it's all one big guessing game and I suppose I should just wait to hear back from the shop.

Yep, ask them and also be sure if they have the size bigger or smaller for a change in case the shoes doesn't work!
