dji, I have the backzips in size 3. I usually wear size 42, so the 1's are def too small.

you are welcome
I have tall version of the backzips from the first issue, but I can imagine they fit about the same as the new short ones. The boots are fairly comfortable, however I can confirm your concerns about the backzips, they were a little bit annoying in the beginning, but I soon got used to them.

Mine are not the new model though, mine have the strap across the front.

thanks for the info Diss. I've decided to hold off on purchasing a pair of engineer boots until next season, that way I can try a pair on before I purchase them. hoping they release a regular height pair with a side zip next season but still waiting to see detailed runway pics.

not really, it varies depending on the cut of the jacket. from personal experience (and sizing charts) the order of slimness is:
1. high collar (SS08 and FW08)
2. moto collar (FW06, FW07, SS08, FW08, SS09)
3. rider/fencing style (FW07, SS09)
4. field jacket (FW08, SS09)
not really familiar with the short collared (SS07, SS08) style jackets. merz and winq are the resident experts on pre FW06 Julius leather so they would be better at answering any sizing questions in regard to those.

Chameleon:
sleeve length : 65 cm
length: 95 cm
chest : 57 cm
shoulders : 41.5 cm
While the measurements do seem quite large, the piece is meant to be slightly oversized. Trying to maintain a fitted silhouette with the hoodcoat will only result in the massive box pleat along the back opening up.
