        this

most impotent is that the cobbler balances the shoe properly, as in shaves off either leather or rubber (preferably the rubber) for even footing

          compound.

Topy is little harder than Vibram, so they wear out more slowly. Vibram is softer - so they stick to the outsole better.

And range of colors: Vibram palette is much wider

to me it is still repairable. adding a virbram sole on the original sole and it will has less stress point of the broken area.

good work, i wouldnt be proud of it though, suing my own cobbler is something not i would do, afterall you did not give them specific instructions not to do this and that

But I'm fucking proud, cos, I try to explain it again, it's not a situation with a single cobbler, it's a bloody big service company with hell bunch of offices in our city, and they play totally unfair.

So do whatever you want with your own cobbler, but I'm really glad that we catch this fuckers.

chill man dont make them sound like criminals, afterall you are at fault too from what ive read, kind of a miscommunication between u and your cobblers, isnt a one sided thing as far as i see

                      • so read again. we can't communicate with the cobbler himself, cos they have manager for it and honestly cobbler is a kinda central asia refugee and don't speak our bloody language well. Anyway we bring em de facto brand new boots to simple operation and we don't allowed any other procedures. So fuck it, we are the right side.

What do you guys think of using WATERPROOF sprays on boots/shoes? I have this annoying habit of spraying all my new purchases before wearing them out. I use WOLY which repels water, oil and dirt, or so they say...

I tend to avoid waterproof sprays, stuff with silicone etc. Would rather go with leather oils, been using Obenauf's for a few years, works like a charm. If i want more waterproofing, I grab the tub of their leather protector (beeswax compound) but it stiffens the leather, so I only use it on leathers like horse.

PS: proven in shitty Vancouver weather! :)

Thanks, Tigo, you got a point. Silicon being synthetic, can't be good for leather in the long run. I will check out Obernauf.
