hmm, I didn't know there were two John Lobb's. So John Lobb ltd sold one of their stores to Hermes, which now produces "John Lobb" rtw shoes. Interesting.

Regardless if they aren't bespoke, I'd be surprised if the John Lobb store ran by Hermes produced "shit." Hermes kinda has a thing for high quality leather goods.

From the several (rtw) john lobb shoes I've handled (never owned however), the quality was excellent and the leather was beautiful.

OK. So there are either a WTF or a good find.

They have been up for a few times on Ebay. I've gotta admit that from afar it reminds me of some sort of snakeskin, but in reality aren't these just some CCP dipped sneakers where someone has really f*cked them up?

I'm just curious if anyone knows if these were actually designed this way because the resin dip sure does look like it's gonna fall off the second you walk down the street or wrinkle the canvas. haha It looks like you'd leave a trail of flakes as you walked down the street....

^^^Yeah-that was exactly my thought too Merz. For the price these are posted at (and didn't sell the last few times), it might be worth someone who has time to do such a thing. I imagine the canvas show itself is very substantial and a great base for various design elements.
