Originally posted by DudleyGray View PostFWIW, styling of that particular beanie is tricky. You really have to mangle and stretch and fold and scrunch it in order for it to work. And it will pill and develop holes easily and quickly, but then you just threw away a hundred fucking dollars on a shitty beanie that you could only get online on final sale without handling first, so you deserve that kind of bullshit.

^ hilarious!
... yet so true in many ways. Although perhaps on a smaller head than my ginormous noggin (where honestly almost no beanie/hat looks right) it may be more reasonable lookingwww.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs

That beanie looks like a slouched swimming cap on me, works better for my wife as her head is half the size. The one she has hasn't piled or broken though, don't know if there are different versions.."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

Beanies are mostly a pain in the ass to keep in good condition. My cashmere LUC beanie had the same fate. Of course the first hole was proudly made by LUC label itself.
Anyway speaking about beanies the best ones IMO are W:M hands down, I haven't seen m.a+ in person though, could be nice as well.

I can't add to the humor of this exchange but I will give an endorsement to Tissue Tire's work found at H Lorenzo. I have two. They have that distressed (for lack of a better word) look- more relaxed and flexible than the RO you mentioned. There are only 3 styles right now-they come and go with some frequency.
Chinoriz, I know you must have some stretchy fabric laying around. Glue or sew it in a squat rectangle to get a sense of what one might look like on you. I did that and have been playing around with proportions, even wearing one outside and getting compliments on it.

^ Thanks for the recs. I have been working on some hat/knitwear shapes and styles. Something will likely be coming for the next collection I'm working on :)www.AlbertHuangMD.com - Digital Portfolio Of Projects & Designs
