Apparently not. I have a strong feeling that the pieces I've recently called dibs on were taken by snipers on this board. Honestly though, I make a concerted effort to honor the calling of dibs. It seems only fair that if someone goes through the trouble of posting a call of dibs they get it.

And yeah, those Amadei boots are cool, but that price for a used pair of boots is too high for my tastes.

I agree, DHC. I think it's pretty pathetic that people prize material things over respect for fellow members. However, most of this behavior is probably done by the trolls.

For me, one of the most rewarding moments about this community was discussing bidding on the metallic Raf Simons sweater from this season with dontbecruel, who gracefully agreed not to compete against me. I ended up getting the sweater for $215, as opposed to $650 + tax at Barneys. This is SZ at its best.

I definitely believe the calling dibs works here. Thanks to someone posting the size 3 Julius "fencing" leather jacket I was able to pick it up for the opening bid. Ionn26 was kind enough (thanks again man!) to not bid against me.

DHC and I worked it out (Dave you rock man. If I can help you in any way, you know I'm more than happy to!!!) so maybe I'll get to try out the bag as a new bookbag...
