I think the seller for that pair either doesn't honor winning bids under a certain price or something... same pair has been up for a LONG time and last time (was it last week even?) started at a 1000 yen start as well :(

The U shaped jeans are slim through the legs. I think these will work for you!

AFAIK the jeans came only in this U shaped style. There were some pants that were issued with more of an angular "L" to the legs that created a bit of bunching at the knees but I do not believe they were made in anything other than two types of dress pant fabric.

The jeans fabric twists down the leg and are sort of a "springtime alternative" to the twist jeans since these are single layered versus the double layered twist jeans. An elegant concept. In Berlin I saw a pair of generic womens jeans at CASH (the Maxfield Bleu of The Apartment) from quite some time ago that were done in the same style. Looks like Carol's not the first to think of the concept, but as with a lot of CCP stuff, it's well constructed, elegant and..... of course overlocked.

I think someone mentioned it earlier, but there's a handful of Carpe Diem jackets, tops, and pants at Century 21. Some Ann D and Margiela as well, not too war torn yet. Project 8 (www.projectno8.com/) on Division St. had Margiela oxfords and sneakers at 50% off for men and lots of cool things for women.

I saw things a few weeks back that were wrecked, but there were a handful in fine condition yesterday. The one pair of pants I liked was ripped pretty well though. Century 21 is pretty useless for me, but I always walk through when I'm in the neighborhood. I was really excited finally seeing Black Fleece (six months late?) in person across the street at Brooks Brothers.

^ Not at the moment although they had a nice selection of DRKSHDW and bits and pieces of the main line last fall. Needless to say "axin" them whether they expect to get it in again for the spring is of little use. Fingers crossed though.
