JM weston make boots for the french Gendarmerie. They look really good but go way high on the leg. You can usually find some on ebay.fr if you have the time to wait for your size; price will be good.

That's because they were originally too low for hardcore ballers. The seller adjusted his price because true ballers won't even look at footwear that is less than $1800. To reach their peripheral vision (at best), you need to be in the $1900 range!
