I don't know if I would call it a ridiculous price. Plenty of his jackets and coats retail at the BIN and some approach the initial asking price.

They described it to me as a dark, brown/grey. Probably similar to Rick's. I ordered one and can let you know when it arrives. They definitely don't look black on my monitor, though they are selling a black tank.
