I do not get these kinds of shoes. It may be ok on a runway, but to me, it feels more or less like he's just leveraging the creepers come-back we see everywhere right now.
To me it feels like the kind of ephemeral revival that is destined to fuel the cash machine, but I do not see how this is either a timeless classic nor part of fashion evolution.
Of course, I may lack the necessary cultural background to understand this, but seeing how creepers are now found everywhere from Rykiel to Prada or DD puzzles me a bit... Previous similar Rick boots look much more understated (which means "better" to me).
Please enlighten me!

First off I'd like to say that those pics are horrible. Check out the pics on LvR (link at the bottom) where you can see the leather, which actually looks great. Anyways, I guess your point is about the crepe sole, and you may be right. Everybody's doing it nowadays it seems, which means you could pretty much call it a trend - something which people in here frown upon. Disregarding that, I actually really like the way it looks. I've seen some 'alternative' types wearing shoes with thick crepe soles the last couple of years and I've always liked them, but the shoes themselves were always a bit off and the quality rather poor. Now I have the chance to buy a pair of beautiful shoes with the sole I've been wanting for quite a while. On top on that, I could you the extra inch of height, haha! And also, having a few black derbies already, a thick crepe sole is a nice addition, so they all don't look too much alike. :-)

EDIT: Wether the shoes will stand the test of time I don't know yet, but seeing how I've been wanting something similar for quite a while, I can see myself wearing them in a couple of years when the trend has worn off.

i already own creepers including some CDG wich are perfect but in a "real" creeper way, so not that versatile.. I really love design on those Doma, much more discret. Plus, they look strong and durable, i would wear them everyday hehe

I don't know that particular coat, but VA sizing can vary, and a size 3 is often = an Italian 46.
