72" long thin round waxed cotton shoelaces from an online store, need them for my rick combats. tried every cobbler, military surplus, hiking and department store in Melbourne to no avail.

I went through the process of looking for these one time. This is the closest I could find. There are several round waxed laces out there at 72" but these are the non-woven military type that is probably closest to Rick OG laces you'll find.

I shot the store an email, I'll pick them up if they're waxed cotton. surprised by how difficult it is to find laces in this length, apparently most manufacturers don't make waxed laces in anything longer than 36".

dji, my advice would be to go to your bead shop [as strange as that may sound] A good one will sell all shorts of leather strings [laces] that can be cut to any length. I had some good luck getting some exactly like the pre-SS08 Rick laces, cut to size, then just knot the ends.

thanks for the advice andrew. I ordered a pair that looked to fit the bill off ebay but I'll hunt down some bead stores if it ends up being rubbish.
