that happens all the time, at all kinds of different stores
i think it's just the result of being roughly the age of a sales associate and dressed in nice clothing
plus i'm ocd about refolding and rehanging everything i look at. i worked retail, it drove me insane how little respect some customers had for other people's (the store's) property.

come to think of it when i was at the grocery store last night little old ladies kept asking me to help them grab shit from the shelves too and the employees certainly weren't dressed like ninjas

i try to fold things back up after picking them up but in sea most sas are pretty endearing and refuse to let you do that stuff

thanks for heads up, it's a linen suit i picked up in italy a long time back, i quite like the relaxed fit but probably not worth the cost at this point.
