It's not so hard to wander into Atelier. I saw will.i.am there last summer and I suspect BBS is easier than CCP to work into a hip hop wardrobe. Prolly lovin' that obvious branding.

I don't think it will be happening in any near future. I don't know, it doesn't annoy me anymore. I do find it fascinating/amusing that rap musicians think this is the pinnacle of fashion. We are definitely witnessing a zeitgeist shift. I finished my article on the whole thing, prompted by the SL ad campaign discussion. Will publish it soon.

I do think it is elitist to not want the pop stars to wear these garments, so I try not to feel this way. I prefer them in more accessible things like Givenchy/Dior that work better on stage anyway. I guess their interest in Gucci/Louis Vuitton is about the same as anyone here.

What I find really amusing is that both The New York Times and The New Yorker have listed in their articles on rappers (50 Cent and A$AP Rocky, respectively) citing having been a crack dealer as good rapper credentials. Kinda blew my mind.
