Yes you are somehow right: when I first bought the boots I didn't like the match with the darkshadow RO color, but I didn't like the boots in brown either sooooo...

Besides, it's not exactly black: more of a charcoal dark grey (reversed leather)...a better photographer could catch the different nuances

Honestly I wanted to match a black jacket, but that was a rainy day and the scuba-hood helped (I hate umbrellas)...
