3- soul less fashion, individuals wearing rick not because of trends, and not because it "speaks" to them, but just because... (not giving a fuck) For me tier 3 is the highest level of authenticity. It is a cleansing of the artificial social constructs you are ingrained with, and an embrace of your core illogical human silliness. In this sense, your "inner you" is reflecting your choice of jacket, rather than the other way around.

You know I use to think this is what I was. However, you eventually realize that you are always trying to evoke certain emotions into people with what you wear. Putting a garment on is a form of expression; a piece of you illuminating to others. It's that quintessential desire to look good and feel good with the clothes you wear. I feel to some, what they put on makes them feel like it embodies what they are as a person. In the end everyone has different reasons for why they put on a certain piece of clothing. It's really hard to pinpoint why someone dresses a certain way. There is a lot of psychological baggage that goes with it I believe.

I think some use it to evoke to people that they belong to a certain sub-culture or group. They might do this for a sense of belonging and feeling of self-worth. Others might simply desire quality clothing with a rich design. So, the price for clothing is not a hindrance since having put one of the pieces on makes them feel good about themselves. Not trying to act like I'm saying anything enlightening, btw. Just felt like giving my current understanding of clothing and its relation to human psychology.

ultimately we choose to associate ourselves with something, to have it in our lives, because it bears some kind of personal significance. it is adopted into or as a fascimilie of some part of a construct of self, its not necessarily what fuuma referred to as some 'true self' but a personal and maybe a rather romanticised version of self.

when something is adopted that way, it is given a specific context and relevance. and so when the same object or aesthetic is seen elsewhere being deliberately decontextualised/debased, it is only natural to interpret it as an assault on the personal significance it holds to the offended party. that something being taken from its context doesn't take away from merit or quality, just makes it easy to feel immediate contempt towards who seem to display it in a way significantly different from the one the self identifies with.

Ain't nothing spiritual about it, we're constructing external identities based on clothing that's made by someone other than ourselves (barring certain cases). Filling the criteria for a certain answerable style is probably the more common strand among all fashion-conscious folks, imo. Mysticism is just a coverup, really, why fight the fact that the reason I love CCP is embarrassing? I'm not going to stop stroking my boots on the bus just because someone decides it's a shallow thing to do.

that damir jacket looks great. i have the shorter version, and now "need" the longer one!

i dont think damir top works very well with jacket. too messy around the neck and too messy around the bottom with asymmetry and flaps etc. maybe if you unbotton it would work a bit better but still would be too much contrasting .

idk i kinda like it , since theres no lapel on the blazer its already pretty clean around the neck and chest area and i like that theres a little somethin extra goin on under it with the tshirts
