obviously i'm way out of my league when discussing the finer points of yohji with you two. based on the images alone (all i have to base my opinions on in this case, since i have only a very few pieces of yy and its not even pour homme, just y's), i still prefer the pants with a less formally cut jacket. obviously seeing it in person could be different...
there is something about the strong lines of the cut-away of the front which doesn't do it for me together with the pocket detailing of those pants - i prefer the way you wear them in one of your pictures: together with a sweater. for the jacket, i think maybe wearing it with a loosely volumed and less detailed pant would make me more happy? don't think it has to be 'formal', just less 'busy' without pockets... but again, what do i know - you two are the yy buffs - so just keep doin your thang. i've enjoyed the discussion regardless.
