What the hell happened here? The fencing is dope and sure it's overrated, but unless you've seen one in real life, believe me, you can't know what the leather is like. It looks and feels insanely authentic.

HDG, let the haters hate, that jacket looks awesome on you open, closed, 3/4 closed, whatevs.

The fencing's a great jacket, but to be honest it looks pretty ordinary in most of the fits I've seen. Everyone wears it the same way, zipped with skinny black jeans and boots, it's kinda boring. But if you thrash this jacket and work on moulding the lapel, it really softens up and drapes well. I prefer it all open worn as part of a slouchy outfit, kinda like some of the hedi era Dior looks. No one thinks to wear it with more relaxed trousers like the ones below, but in my opinion it can work a lot better.

Nevertheless, if I had the chance again, I'd buy the Stooges and Berger instead.

not being a hater in general and i love the fencing, but this sometimes feels like a photography forum. not singling adam out at all, but there are countless "great fit" comments to black leather, black pants black boots. it's not that hard to pull together; believe me, it's what i wear 9 days out of 10

Speaking of 3/4, the one piece of clothing on here that I know without a doubt it wouldn't fit before getting all tied up in it.

Those sleeves in a size that fit my chest would come to about the 3/4 of my forearm.

Fencing is clearly a monument in this forum. Duly so. It's one of, if not the most bad-ass leather out. I think it looks a touch out of place on people who are more muscular than others. When zipped it looks constrictive and when open it loses the structure that makes it special. Does look good when half-zipped, but I find that option annoying and really only utilized for cosmetic purposes.

Anyway.. the Scarstitch trumps it for all these reasons. Have always felt this way. Mollino is a good options as well, but I definitely agree that the zipper needs to be asymmetrical.

Don't sweat it HDG, jealousy is stinky cologne. Sleeves are bit short on you. Not much to do about that. Go out and fuck somebody up in that thing.

                          (Zamb.. crushing it. Good stuff.)

Why is it on an intelligent forum like this where people are encouraged to discuss fit and aesthetic, the word 'jealousy' gets tossed around when people do just that: discuss fit and aesthetic.

I mean, I realize that sometimes people get caught up in minutia and haircuts and glasses and other things but that is not the case here. I just think that word sinks the discussion further down into materialism and price rather than merit and style.

                              Carry on, my wayward sons.
